This person will be joining a large auto-manufacturer's autonomous vehicle company as a Payroll Manager. The company is currently going through multiple systems implementations for Payroll(ADP Workforce Now), HR(Workday) and Accounting ERP(Oracle). This person, along with the Payroll Analyst will be responsible for managing day-to-day payroll duties while other members of the team support the various implementations.
Provide oversight, management and development of Payroll Analyst
Oversee the processing of a semimonthly, multi-state payroll for salary and hourly, full time employees
Oversee the processing of off cycle payroll related changes (new hires, terminations, incentive compensation, etc.)
Partner with department managers to ensure timesheets are processed thoroughly and timely in the payroll system
Partner with accounting to ensure payroll entries are recorded accurately
Ensure that individual employee time is gathered, processed, and transmitted accurately, completing payroll reports and monitoring the payroll function.
Design, maintain and manage payroll system to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws while also ensuring that system is meeting desired internal business and controls needs
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and controls. Document desktop procedures
Develop, document and enforce various Payroll initiatives designed to streamline the process and scale with the organization
Review and circulate semi monthly analytic and quarterly reports from payroll system
Participate in various department-wide initiatives including system implementations (Workday to ADP, ADP to Oracle)
Support 401K and financial statement audit
