Website Manager

Compensation: $60,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year

Position Overview: The Website Manager is a self-motivated, highly technical individual who builds and maintains the organization?s web properties and interactive applications based on user requirements, usability, accessibility and security needs. Additionally, the Website Manager oversees (with external support) search engine optimization, pay-per-click campaigns, etc.) to advance the organization?s mission, promote its brand, drive growth (programmatic and fundraising) opportunities, and enhance constituents? engagement and retention. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Build and maintain organizational websites. ? Create customized applications and integrations to enhance website capabilities according to current development methodologies, coding standards, source control policies, coding patterns and practices ? Manage process for updates to site; make text updates and simple graphical changes ? Use libraries when appropriate; most importantly write clean, reusable code from scratch ? Ensure application design, development and architecture of the product will support and help meet organizational goals, while adhering to established specifications and standards ? Participate in design and code reviews; collaborate with teams on the planning, development and execution ? Oversee the creation of custom campaign landing pages to complement tracking strategies ? Stay abreast of best practices and latest trends in web analytics, SEO, SEM, digital content and campaign management ? In collaboration with digital agency, implement and utilize Google Tag Manager to streamline and optimize coding efforts; implement and manage JavaScript site tags, marketing channel tags and view pixels in order to track online conversion events ? In collaboration with digital agency, define functional elements of an application interface to maximize the online user experience ? Research and understand new and emerging technologies and best practices that may be applied to current and future infrastructure application development platforms ? In collaboration with digital agency, oversee Google AdWords, Google Grants and other PPC programs to ensure consistency with SEO strategies ? Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve our website experience for general public, etc. ? Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to evaluate and increase the impact of marketing efforts on overarching SEO and SEM projects and priorities ? Provide monthly reporting on KPIs to Leadership with insights and recommendations ? In collaboration with IT support, understand web security coding practices, payment card industry security and data privacy best practices

Job Requirements

? BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience ? 3+ years of web application development experience ? Strong understanding of contemporary web browsers and browser optimizations ? Experience implementing, configuring and customizing WordPress plugins a plus ? Domain expertise in UI/UX best practices. You are a problem solver with everything you develop to improve our sites experience and drive action ? Experience with responsive and adaptive design patterns ? Strong background with WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ? Experience with API server setup and integration, Experience with Google AdWords and Google Grants, Experience with administrating web servers (Windows and Linux), Experience with backup and restoration procedures, Experience with GIT/MAMP version control best practices, Experience with mobile application design, Experience with Google Tag Manager ? Experience targeting specific goals, focused metrics, and KPIs when setting strategy and preparing reporting documents ? Creative thinker, who is an assertive problem solver with an analytical mind ? Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team ? Highly detail-oriented and organized ? Personal interest in staying up-to-date on the latest trends, including agile methodology and emerging best practices in the UI community ? Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of technical and non-technical staff ? High proficiency with best practices for SEO, SEM, social media, email and content marketing
