Underwriter Sr

The Sr. Underwriter will review loan files according to investor guidelines and evaluate the risk in underwriting conventional FNMA, VA and FHLMC mortgage loan applications.
Responsibilities Include:
* Underwrite mortgage loans for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and VA
* Conduct review and quality assurance of loans after underwritten
* Analyze credit reports, titles, property appraisals as well as other required loan documentation
* Ensure loan files meet investor, regulatory and company guidelines
* Work hand-in-hand with loan officers, processors and branch managers
* Maintain knowledge of underwriting guidelines and regulations
* Various duties as assigned
Requirements:
* 5+ years current underwriting conventional FNMA and FHLMC loans
* DE Certification preferred
* VA Certification desired
* Working knowledge of DU and LP automated underwriting systems
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills
* Basic office skills
* Intermediate to advanced communication skill, both written and verbal
* Intermediate to advanced data entry skill
* Advanced organizational and time management skills
* Strong mathematic skills
* Strong attention to detail
