This position is easily commutable by public transportation. As a Director of Experience Design you?ll lead a multidisciplinary team, alongside researchers, experience designers, visual designers and developers, to deliver word-class, human-centered products and services Your role will be to design, analyze, plan and map, contextually accurate and valuable experiences that are simple, and intuitive for our customers to use. Not only will you be excited by the challenge of creating new experiences across multiple channels, devices, and platforms, but you will be able to see and own the end-to end journey as well as the detailed outcomes. You will have a deep understanding of digital technology, how to design in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while helping transform end-to-end product and service delivery model. Main responsibilities As an Experience Design Director you will: ? Manage large work streams and provide senior oversight and presence with senior leadership ? Manage and lead a team of direct reports, responsible for career development?personal and professional growth ? Direct and develop larger internal teams across multiple projects ? Oversee quality of concepts across multiple project teams simultaneously ? Analyze failure within experiences and identify root causes for that failure ? Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improvement within an existing service ? Understand customer needs and identify where separate interactions should come together as one that meets that need ? Where necessary, arrange these separate interactions into rational customer journeys and experience maps within that service ? Understand the core Human Centered Design framework of an experience and lead the design of targeted improvements to that framework that accommodates new and improved process refinements ? Create and rapidly iterate interactive prototypes in accordance with task, scenario and journey ? Identify and design new cross-functional design patterns and standards ? Collaborate with developers ? Put forward new cases for designs improvements with product managers ? Communicate with detailed design and industry backed decisions and be able to represent all experience touch-points ? Engage and align with all multidisciplinary teams across the customer office business ? Represent and champion Human Centered Design at a senior leadership level

Job Requirements

*must have service design experience* ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Skills and experience It?s essential that you will have: ? 8+ years in a senior level or equivalent experience design role ? Combination of agency and corporate environment experience ? High level of experience with recognizing complex business challenges ? Expertise across majority of Experience Design disciplines ? Mature experience sketching, mapping, documenting prototyping strategic customer experience approaches and processes ? Solid understanding of Information Architecture, taxonomy, language and content matrixes ? Demonstrable experience of explaining design ideas and concepts in a way that people of different backgrounds can understand ? Understand the possibilities and limitations current vs future experience outcomes ? Experience running design workshops and planning sessions with multiple business units ? Experience working in a fast-paced environment ? Working collectively and autonomously with cross-functional teams ? A design related degree or relevant experience in designing products and services Desirable that you will have experience with the following: ? Creating visual user interface designs ? Demonstrating how form and function work together ? Assessing front-end and back-end technology integration and enablement ? Working in lean and or agile environments ? Working with executive teams ? Helping colleagues with their career development or coaching more junior designers
