The Manager Supply Chain is responsible for leading procurement initiatives across the product portfolio. You will work closely with engineering, design, supply chain, and legal to identify areas of opportunity to reduce risk in our supplier portfolio while optimizing quality, service and cost. Responsibilities will include developing, managing, and executing the RFQ/RFP process, defining selection criteria for suppliers, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts and agreements. This will be a key and integral position that brings together the cross-functional procurement team and sets the strategy for direct spend across the portfolio. At this experience level, applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include managing projects/processes and coaching or reviewing the work of less experienced professionals.
Reporting directly to the VP and Managing Director, Frymaster, this position is based in Shreveport, Louisiana.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
Maintain contracts and agreements
Lead RFQ/RFP launches and supplier selection
Develop, implement and maintain a supplier scoring card system
Develop procurement strategy with cross-function team with engineering, design, analytics, and supply chain
Work with engineering, design, and analytics to drive sourcing decisions based on technical requirements, service, quality, price, and environmental footprint
- Evaluate, assign, and renew contracts and agreements
- Develop and refine RFQ/RFP process based on industry best practices
- Lead launch of new RFQ/RFPs
- Negotiate contracts
- Meet with suppliers and maintain relationship with new and existing suppliers
- Work with suppliers and industry groups to identify new technology and applications
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and design to identify gaps, areas for improvement, or opportunities to apply new technology
