Sr UX Designer

You might be the Senior Product Designer being sought for an immediate opportunity by a client of The Creative Group in the San Francisco, California area. This is a full-time opportunity. As the Senior Product Designer, you will oversee user research, the administering of interviews and surveys of diverse populations, and the translation of results into sitemaps, wireframes, and design prototypes. Furthermore, you will create the overall functionality of the product and work tirelessly to make incremental improvements to deliver an exceptional user experience. This is a consumer-facing role, so please have consumer-facing experience! You will own the product end-to-end and be providing mentorship to junior designers.

Major responsibilities

- Lending a helping hand to other team members as needed (QA, data entry, production updates, resizing of graphics, etc.)
- Partnering with business users and application developers to translate requirements into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Produce satisfying experiences for users of a product, based on results from user research and workflow analysis
- Overseeing usability testing on prototypes or finished products to assess the quality of a user experience
- Creating tools such as personas, usage scenarios, site maps, taxonomies, and wireframes
- Focus areas may include content, controls, visual design, packaging, customer/technical support, branding, and other aspects of user experience
- Collaborating with other members of the digital marketing team on the development of new initiatives

Job Requirements

- High attention to detail
- Understanding of graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography applications such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Understanding of Web Accessibility and testing tools (e.g. Lighthouse, Google Accessibility Developer Tools)
- Skilled in prototype/mockup software (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, Zeplin)
- Web design experience desired
- Adeptness in graphic design
- Strong familiarity with design
- Design skills experience
- Foundational knowledge in design architecture
- Expertise in Adobe InDesign
- A portfolio featuring UX (wireframes/prototypes/other UX artifacts) and visual design work
- Well-versed in design software applications and tools
- 10+ years of experience within the digital design/UX industry/Product Design
- Bachelor's degree
- To be successful in this position, you need to have strong interpersonal skills
