  • ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

  • The Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) Communications & Vehicle Systems team seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer to work on the development of new and exciting simulation systems and products ranging in complexity from desktop trainers to high fidelity weapon systems for both military and commercial customer.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Software Engineer Design, develop, implement, integrate, test, and debug real time systems software

  • Work with cross functional team to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions within specified budget, schedule, and scope

  • Participate in customer milestone reviews and technical working group meetings

  • Generate engineering design documentation and participate in peer reviews

  • Provide accurate time estimates for the software development effort

  • Actively learn new technologies and techniques and apply them to new domains and problem sets

  • Travel to support onsite installation and integration activities



Education


  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related degree with applicable years' of experience

  • Over 5 years' of experience in full life-cycle software development, including:

  • Requirements analysis and requirement derivation

  • Preliminary and Critical Design

  • Code & Unit Testing

  • SW/SW and HW/SW Integration and Troubleshooting

  • Usage of Configuration Management tools (Subversion, Git)

  • Previous experience with real-time, multi-threaded programming

  • Object-Oriented Design and Programming using C/C++

  • Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Visual Studio or Eclipse

  • Windows 7, Windows 10, and/or Linux software development

Education


  • A Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related degree with applicable years' of experience
