A thriving company in the Service industry is on the search for a full-time Senior Accountant to join their team in the Lexington, South Carolina area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. We are looking for someone who has excellent analytical skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support the continued success of the firm. Located in Lexington, South Carolina, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Service field.

What you get to do every single day

- Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

- Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

- Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

Job Requirements

- Strong time management skills preferred

- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- Month end closings experience

- Financial statement preparation experience preferred

- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

- Experience with ERP systems

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
