Sr. Manager

Job Description

This individual will be working along with 2 full time employees from our client that will be focused on capacity planning, budgets, project management, and logistics nationally.

The primary focus of this role will be: 1) Planning around hardware deployments, 2) Purchasing of equipment 3) Budget tracking and 4) Developing plans based on capacity needs.

Qualified individuals must have a solid understanding of network hardware specifically with Cisco and Nokia. They will be kicking off process of ordering equipment based on capacity needs, following through on orders and and interacting with other internal groups who are involved with the installation of hardware. Understanding of networking hardware will be ordering cards based on bandwidth requirements, routers, optic's for fiber connectivity, etc. based on capacity demands of the network. This is not an engineering position.

The project management is one component of this role which involves the interaction with internal groups to ensure projects are staying on track. The role will have a large budget tracking component to it along with some Project Management. PMP is NOT required, simply tracking the equipment ordering and installation process while interacting with various teams involved with the installation.

From a budget standpoint this individual aware of the budget and tracking spend for current and next year. Individual will be working with HQ planning, who also provides direction specific to budgets. This individual will not be creating the budgets but will be involved with month over month spend plans.

This individual will also be working with other internal groups who are responsible for their internal capacity tools to look at trends regarding capacity while looking for trends that would trigger the need for additional hardware.

Finally, they must have good experience with excel spreadsheets along with creating PowerPoint for budgetary and capacity presentations for leadership.

Candidates must be local to central NJ, Dallas/Ft. Worth, or Schaumburg, IL.
This position will start out 100% remote but in time the expectation would be for the candidate to be on site 1-2 times per week.
