Management Resources is hiring talented Senior Cost Accountants to join the senior/management level consulting practice of Robert Half in Dayton to assist our well-respected clients in the area.. The Senior Cost Accountant maintains and reviews product standard cost and analyze cost variances for management action and determine inventory balances to comply with US GAAP including inventory allowances for obsolesces. General Duties and Responsibilities of Senior Cost Accountants include: -Prepares and directs the implementation of cost accounting methods and activities. -Be responsible for managing and maintaining standard costing system -Work closely with the product management group on providing costing and pricing information on new and existing products. -Prepare cost accounting reports for presentation to management -PPV report and reporting of variances -Monitoring low margin items and provide reporting monthly basis -Establish/maintain product costing standards including preparation of labor and overhead rates and material standards -Assisting in the development, managing and auditing cycle count program -Accounting for material, labor and overhead variances -Review and approval of plant productivity statistics and preparation of various reports -Calculate, review and forecast margins and budget rates -Support the pricing team to ensure that it is producing high quality, accurate and timely pricing information for the organization -Develop a pricing strategy appropriate to a high quotation throughout the organization -Demonstrate ability to create, change and influence change in organizations -Maintain and enhance internal accounting controls -Support the review of internal and external audit -Analyze inventory for slow moving and potential obsolete items -Review and analyze inventory obsolescence reserve If you are interested in learning more about or being considered for the role of Senior Cost Accountant, please email your resume to Resource Specialist Sean Whitford at [Click Here to Email Your Resumé].
