A growing Wholesale Distribution company is in need of an efficient Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis in the Richmond, Virginia area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers a great long-term growth potential, including a strong compensation and benefits package for the candidate. We are currently looking for an individual who possess excellent analytical skills and thrives working in a challenging and fast-paced environment while contributing to company growth. This Senior Accountant role is located in Richmond, Virginia within the Wholesale Distribution field. What you get to do every day - Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary - Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives - Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors - Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) - Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Prepare monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Job Requirements

- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Prior work done in public accounting is desired - Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills - Able to manage time well - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced environment - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Efficient in ERP systems - Comprehensive knowledge of SAP - BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges - Experience in SOX control execution/documentation - 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience If interested please call Morgan Crawley at 804-783-1901
