ABOUT THIS POSITION
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Serves as the primary point of contact for insureds, agents and lienholders for policy related inquiries. Provides superior customer service and offers solutions and/or options to customers to resolve problems within company guidelines.
*1. Provides superior customer service, responding to requests for interpretations of guidelines/procedures, acceptability of risk, rating inquiries and/ premium discrepancies, in a prompt and professional manner.
*2. Processes endorsements, renewals, policy cancellations/non-renewals, and payment in a timely, accurate manner.
*3. Identifies and attempts to resolve all issues before asking for assistance or transferring a call to the Underwriter.
*4. Logs prior approvals, non-renewals and heavy for hire approvals on appropriate spreadsheet.
*5. Assists processing team as needed.
*6. Makes out-bound calls to assist Business Development as needed.
*7. Advises Underwriter and Supervisor of questionable risks that need to be referred to Product Management.
*8. Must adhere to the assigned schedule and demonstrate dependability and reliability on a regular basis.
*9. Documents/maintains various internal records as needed.
*10. Provides quoting and quoting assistance to agents, up to and including upload assistance.
*11. Must have regular predictable attendance.
12. Performs all other duties as assigned.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Six (6) months previous customer service experience required. Call center and/or insurance related experience preferred.
2. Data Entry skills of 3,000 KSH or 25 WPM with less than 5% error ratio is required.
3. Good written and oral communication skills required in order to represent the Company in a professional manner. Uses clear diction and good grammar at all times.
4. Successfully completes all required training including classroom and departmental.
Requirements for promotion to Specialty Auto Consultant II:
Attains an exceeds or better quantity and quality rating for a minimum of two consecutive quarters after introductory period.
All competencies need to be at least meets in all areas and at least exceeds in reliability/dependability, initiative, problem solving and job knowledge.
Contributes to the productivity of the unit by taking a minimum of the average number of calls per hour equal to the departmental average.
