Social Media Manager

Job Description

The Group is seeking a Social Media Manager to join their team. This talented individual will be responsible for all Social Media efforts geared toward advertising and promoting The Group and their projects/products. He/she will have ownership of all Social Media initiatives for The Group.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field.
* Demonstrated writing and typing skills.
* Experience writing copy or with a specific industry, such as Healthcare, Marketing, Technology, etc, may be beneficial.
* Strong communication, research, and typing skills.
* Ability to understand the needs associated with a project and the target audience.
* Receptiveness to feedback.
* Willingness to meet deadlines.
* Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends
* Strong experience in Social Media Management
* Strong experience in Copywriting
o This person should have the chops to defend their writing
* Some PR experience - comfortable with doing media outreach
o Knowledge of Philadelphia media outlets. Ability to navigate/build relationships
* Ability to understand the bigger picture/take part in strategy
* Ability to utilize Hootsuite or a similar platform

Responsibilities:
* All social media efforts for The Group on various platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
* Concept editorial calendars for social media
* Work closely with communications lead on creating and implementing marketing leads
* Conceptualize images (ability to design/create them is a plus)
* Learning about the target audience for copy.
* Assisting in other aspects of the creative or research processes to create cohesive, accurate content.
* Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts.
* Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content.
* Promoting new posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
* Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
* Inviting other bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute content to our web presence.
* Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
* Staying current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content

* The Group, Digital Innovation and Consumer Experience, is an internal digital agency.This group has been growing rapidly and merging with other hospitals. Different parts of the organization will come to the Group for projects supporting digital initiatives and projects geared to attract investment and research. They design, develop, and launch new software solutions, portals, and technologies that address the pivotal areas of digital innovation and consumer experience in education and health care.
