Senior Tax Attorney / Enrolled Agent

Job Description

Community Tax, LLC a nationally recognized leader in Tax Resolution and related tax services, is currently seeking an experience Tax Attorney practitioner or Enrolled Agent (EA) practitioner with high volume tax resolution services experience to for a leadership position IN OUR CHICAGO OFFICE as we continue to grow exponentially.

The Senior Tax Practitioner is responsible for leading a team, assessing, preparing and negotiating cases on behalf of taxpayers facing IRS collections and compliance issues. You and your team represent Taxpayers on Tax Resolution matters through negotiations with the IRS, and state taxing authorities. This includes but is not limited to submitting/negotiating IRS Offers in Compromise, Innocent Spouse requests, Penalty Abatement requests, Installment Agreement Set-Ups, defense of seizure actions, Appeals, and more.

You will have responsibility for oversight of the cases through to conclusion. We are a dynamic growing firm where you will enjoy a fast paced, high volume environment managing your own caseload and supervising a team of Attorney and EA practitioners as well as para professional support staff. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree and be a licensed Attorney, or EA. We are seeking a senior member that can contribute to an already experienced staff. Job Requirements

Experience Desired:

  • 3-5+ years tax resolution experience, representing taxpayers before the IRS, specific to compliance and collections.
  • Experience leading a team of practitioners (JD or EA) and support staff
  • Candidates must be licensed Attorney or Enrolled Agent (EA.
  • A competitive and tenacious spirit with a sense of professional and personal accountability
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and research skills
  • Ability to think on an enterprise process level, with an eye for improvement of process, KPI and data oriented for optimal client service delivery and streamlining workflow
  • Proven ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and stringent deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Competent in MS Office products
  • Bilingual Fluency in English / Spanish is a plus
