Senior Systems Engineer

.Acara Solutions is looking for a talented Systems Engineer for our client in Louisville, CO on a temp to direct opportunity. The Systems Engineer reports to the Program Manager on the program he/she is supporting and works in concert with the Project Engineer and lead functional engineers in execution of the program. The Systems Engineer is the technical lead of the engineering team and is the Program Manager’s technical liaison. The Systems Engineer is responsible for decomposition of requirements, generation and allocation of specifications, control documents, plans and reports in support of the development. The Systems Engineer supports programs from the early phases of program capture through integration and test. The Systems Engineer should have intimate knowledge of the product technology and a good working knowledge of the associated engineering disciplines.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Lead the EEE parts technical panel for the program
  • Maintain and implement the parts control plan and parts standard for the program
  • Use a combination of technical and business skills to specify and support incorporation of electrical components into complex system designs.
  • Coordinate across the program design teams, system engineering, manufacturing, reliability personnel to implement the EEE part process
  • Coordinate with suppliers for EEE part selection and management.
  • Perform problem solving, failure analysis, destructive part analysis and understanding diagnostic tools in the application of semiconductor and passive components in space flight electronics.
  • Maintain a system to review non-standard parts usage and non-compliant part adjudication.
  • Author technical and engineering memos as required.
  • Originate specifications, control documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of design and development activities
  • Job Requirements

    .Required Skills:
    • 10 years of related experience
    • Requires a BS in a related field (Electrical Engineering or Physics discipline).
    • Excellent communication skills required. The candidate will be expected to communicate effectively in presentations to large audiences, person to person, and in the products they develop.
    • Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams
    • Demonstrated experience and skills in project management and oversight
    • Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
    • Experience in working with space programs
    • Knowledgeable of the industry standards for EEE parts selection and management
