Senior Manager, Media Planning

Our new media center of excellence team is charged with providing our Brand Marketing teams with expertise in media, working with and leading the media agency relationships and applying emerging media tactics in the quickly changing marketplace of advertising.

Reporting to the Director, Media Planning and Strategy, you will be responsible for managing cross-channel media planning and strategy for a portfolio of brands. This opportunity allows you to contribute to innovative and impactful media campaign development from ideation to execution in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will ensure timelines are adhered to, expectations on all sides are managed and best in class media safeguards are accounted for.

More specifically, you will:

  • Partner with our media agencies to develop and ensure top-notch media plans that deliver to business objectives and challenge the status quo with new thinking.
  • Test emerging media tactics that have clear KPIs and outcomes.
  • Act as the day-to-day conduit to the media agencies and Hilton partners while building positive relationships.
  • Work with other divisions within the marketing team to share learnings and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing education on media opportunities, including industry trends and creative opportunities to reach and engage with customers, using agency partners.
  • Work with agencies and Hilton partners to build and ensure alignment to media planning timelines, ultimately driving on time launches.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking creative marketers who have a real passion for helping to craft innovative media plans. We believe success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Successful history of working with cross-functional partnerships with both internal and external partners
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for marketing
  • Exercise sound judgment and strong problem resolution skills, including effectively addressing any issue in collaborating with others
  • Ability to build positive relationships across a matrixed, dynamic organization
  • Ability to think creatively and analyze data to make strategic and tactical recommendations
  • Provide mentorship

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Five (5) years' experience working at a media agency or similar working experience
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience handling direct reports
  • Experience in facets of media, including cable and broadcast TV, audio, connected TV, digital and other non-traditional media
  • Experience handling multiple projects with critical yet often fluctuating deadlines

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
