Project/Program Manager II

Job Description

SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED
The program manager will be responsible for the completion of the design file management initiative. This includes an initial inventory of the current file system and the reconciliation of the files, researching and verifying the actual approved design, archiving all files that are not associated with the approved design set. Additionally, the project manager will develop a Design Attribute database as well as working through layouts and design drawings to capture the correct attributes to populate the database.

REQUIRED SKILLS
* Completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information System or
comparable field
* 3-5 years of experience as a project manager/program manager, or consultant
* Project Management experience from design phase through implementation and
operation
* Experience using MS tools such as Excel, Access, Visio
* Experience in process mapping and workflow development

PREFERRED SKILLS
* Master's degree in Engineering, Business or Information Systems
* Ability to effectively communicate requirements to various audiences (e.g.
senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.)

Overview of your team/Purpose of this team: As the design team continues to scale at a fast pace, the file management system, workflow, versioning control, and update tracking for the design AutoCADs, and associates files has become untenable. This has caused versioning issues, confusion around file correctness, cumbersome workflow, and the need for duplicate placement of files. The resulting transition and improvement will improve productivity and reduce churn and re-work associated with the ambiguity of approved designs.
Reason for the request: Increase workload

Estimated start time will be -asap- estimating a start of 2/24

Daily schedule & OT expectations: 40 hours per week- core business hours- 8-5- but flexible

Task Breakdown:
25% understanding the current state and pulling current state documents to capture the attributes related to those documents. Using CAD To see what the documents look like
25% ensuring the documents are names properly in a folder structure. Clean out the documenters that can be archived
25% placing document flows and process improvements.
25% working on development on the design attributers and evaluate process related to design.

Degrees or certifications required: Completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information System or comparable field Nice to have.

At least have a bachelors with experience.

Best vs. average: Master's degree in Engineering, Business or Information Systems. Ability to effectively communicate requirements to various audiences (e.g.
Senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.). Someone who have experience in developing processes and work flows. Microsoft flows will be nice to have. Experienced with AutoCAD.

Performance indicators: Project milestone completion on time. We would set up milestones and they will need to meet the timeline.

Top 3 must-have hard skills:
Experience using MS tools such as Excel, Access, Visio-
Understanding of AutoCAD
Project Management experience from design phase through implementation and
operation
