The Creative Group is seeking a CMS Product Manager for one of our Professional Services client in San Ramon! This is a direct-hire opportunity!

As the Content Management System (CMS) Product Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Manage the life cycle of the enterprise wide CMS product. This includes deployment, QA effort, maintenance and archiving, and research/advice for possible new products. Work with internal department partners to develop CMS product strategies, including building product roadmaps. Implement functionality based on the longer-term enterprise portal vision and strategy.
• Develop content-related forms and web application tools, JSP overrides, CSS and interactive widgets. Partner with Web Development and User Experience to develop new content types, workflow, functional forms, web applications, web parts and portlets. Document updates and changes.
• Function as enterprise CMS product ambassador and SME to Corporate and Field colleagues. Provide recommendations to internal partners in managing the delivery of content, including strategizing and determining communication objectives.
• Manage intranet landing pages content schedule, and coordinate with the intranet editorial boards as needed.
• Work with various business groups in Corporate to create and deploy content for their intranet, microsites and collaboration initiatives, ensuring that a complex group of global users have access to content, rich media, search and metrics based on unique views.
• Create new and maintain existing websites/microsites based on customer and management requests.
• Partner with the business to provide ongoing SharePoint training, enabling the business to manage their web and collaboration content. Facilitate training and provide guidance on product functionality and business best practices, including agreed upon governance guidelines. Adapt and update
• Train Web Apps Developers, User Experience and business partners to increase their skills and knowledge of the CMS and CMS code.
• Manage SharePoint user group site by providing system updates, upgrades, outages and best practices information to global SharePoint users
• Assist new hires with system and process overview.
• Utilize the CMS product inventory by querying to inform and facilitate maintenance tasks. Review and adjust inventory database as needed.
• Provide context and strategic analysis of CMS product metrics.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in a related field such as computer science, computer information, or human computer interaction.
• 4+ years’ web application development or CMS product management experience is required.
• 4+ years’ experience developing web sites; solid skills in HTML, XHTML, DHTML, XML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript is required. Strong JSP coding skills, JSTL knowledge is required.
• 3+ years’ experience managing an enterprise Content Management System, Vignette Content Management and/or SharePoint System is required.
• Strong understanding of enterprise intranet and/or portal products and technologies such as Content Management Systems, Portal Systems, Collaboration Platforms, reporting tools, security, enterprise search and hosted solutions is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication is required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office product skills, including MS Word, Excel, Project and Visio is required.
• Familiar with web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, Web Services, etc.) is preferred.
• Familiar with web Internationalization (i18n) standards is preferred.
• Understanding of how new technology integrates with current systems and how it should be designed to meet end user needs is required.
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and tools (Bootstrap, jQuery, Prototype, JSLint, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise applications, especially Exchange, SharePoint and LDAP a plus.
• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, graphic applications, portal technology and content management systems is a plus.
• SharePoint 2010, 2013 and SharePoint Online is preferred
• Understanding of customer service and/or technical support service.
• Ability to perform fit/gap analysis based on requirements.
• Ability to create detailed and thorough test plans for medium-sized initiatives.
