Product Manager - Airway Management

Job Description



PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide day to day management of the assigned LMA® Airway Management product line(s), programs and sales support in the field. * Create and manage programs to increase penetration and drive sales of existing products -- sales and product promotions, customer targeting. * Drive portfolio management; develop product pipeline and roadmap for assigned product franchises aligned with SBU strategic initiatives. * Lead product gating process for assigned portfolio and guide commercial regions through launch. * Develop content for core products and new product introductions including market development, training, education and sales / marketing collateral (publications, brochures, electronic media and marketing communication / education content). * Develop and / or consult on operational initiatives to improve cost, quality, product efficiencies, and profitability. * Develop, maintain and leverage key opinion leader (KOL) relationships for regional voice of customer (VOC) feedback and new idea generation process. * Create designated product line positioning and pricing strategy; and provide sales support such as sales materials, customer presentations, information for Request for Proposals (RFPs) and field communication. * In collaboration with manager, create and maintain operating plan and budget. * Work with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution to maintain high service levels. * Provide support, as needed, to the Regulatory Affairs team on local registration. * Adhere to and ensure the adherence of Teleflex Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards. * Performs other duties as assigned by Management. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree required with areas of preference including marketing, biomedical engineering, business administration or other similar degree area. * Health science baccalaureates could also be considered (registered nurses, for example) with experience in operating room, emergency department, or other areas of the hospital routinely exposed to patient care requiring airway management. In cases where health science baccalaureates are considered, clearly demonstrated skills in marketing areas such as strategic thinking, influence, anayltical skills and project management must be evident. * Level of selected candidate will depend on overall experience and skill, with leveling as follows: * Product Manager: 3-5 years of experience typical, with proficiency in overall product portfolio management with general supervision. * Senior Product Manager: 5-10 years of experience typical (MBA is preferred), with expertise in overall product portfolio management with limited supervision. * Prior marketing and / or sales experience is required. * Prior marketing and / or sales experience with medical device and/or pharmaceutical companies is preferred, but not required.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to work with colleagues to drive consensus on product portfolio decisions. * Ability to drive focus, priortization, and effective time/project management. * Ambitious and action oriented * Ability to present his or her 'case' in both formal presentations and in one-on-one interactions. Strong formal and informal communication skills. * Project management competencies (ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines) * Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as knowledge of measurement and analysis of commercial effectiveness. * Self-starter, know how to approach the job, passionate about the industry. * Able to work in a lean environment without a large infrastructure behind him/her. * Understand medical regulatory environment. * Comfortable in clincial environments (operating room, etc.). * Unquestionable ethics and integrity.
