Adam Wood with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is assisting an experienced aggregates and construction materials group with their search for a HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager has experience with payroll (end-to-end payroll processing and payroll taxes - 940,941, FUTA & SUTA) in NV, AZ & CA. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager has experience with benefits administration (health insurance, dental & vision), 401(K) plan administration, and workers compensation reporting and claims coordination and management. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager manages/supervises one employee - a HR assistant/coordinator. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager reports to the CFO, but works with managers across the organization on a regular basis. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager is customer service orientated, and responds to employee inquiries and questions in a timely fashion. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager may from time to time be asked to research market compensation information for different classes of employees. The HR / Payroll & Benefits Manager will be dealing with DOT and OSHA compliance and, accordingly, experience in these areas would be fantastic. Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following minimum requirements: (i) 5+ years of experience with end-to-end payroll processing, including payroll taxes; (ii) Experience with payroll processing and payroll taxes in Nevada is required, and in AZ and/or CA also is a strong preference; (iii) Experience processing weekly payroll; (iv) experience processing payroll using Great Plains and/or Accumattica; (v) Benefits administration experience (ie., medical/dental/vision insurance - enrolling new employees, setting up payroll deductions, processing changes in benefits and related deductions, and processing benefits termination and coordination of COBRA benefits; 401(k) plan administration; workers compensation reporting and claims coordination etc); and (vi) DOT & OSHA compliance for our transport operations drivers and other team members.
