Organizational Change Manager

Job Description

Title: Organizational Change Manager (CM)

Job Summary:

The Change Manager is primarily responsible for creating, supporting, and implementing Change Management strategies and tactics designed to maximize employee adoption of MarketSource's Strategic and Business Unit Initiatives. The Change Manager will work closely with the Project Managers, Corporate, and Business Unit partners to enable the deployment of one or more concurrent initiatives using a Change Management framework that prepares employees to adopt and sustain new behaviors and ways of working. He/She will focus on the people side of change ensuring effective change to business processes, systems/technology, job roles, and organization structures.


Working with cross functional teams, the Change Manager will assess the level of change and develop and help execute an appropriate Change Management strategy; including all required leadership and stakeholder engagement, communication, and learning and development plans and adoption plans. The CM will work closely with the area manager(s), cross functional team(s), and business partner(s) to identify factors that affect the daily work affected by assigned projects.


Essential Functions:


  • Apply a structured change management methodology and lead change-related activities
  • Administer and complete change management assessments
  • Develop change management strategy per project
  • Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Create actionable deliverables for the following Change Management activities:

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

Communication Strategy

Learning and Development

  • Post Deployment Support & Reinforcement Plans
  • Support learning, development and communication efforts
  • Consult and advise project team members and key business partners in the change process
  • Work with Project Managers to integrate change management activities into project plans
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Define short and long-term change adoption metrics
  • Monitor change adoption post implementation
  • Aggressively address poor change adoption situations
  • Support and engage with other change-related resources (Communications, Instructional Designers, etc.)
  • Manage the portfolio and change load of multiple projects as required
  • Establish and manage a cross-operating enterprise Change Network of key business stakeholders

Be the Change Management subject matter expert:

  • Continuously improve and communicate Change Management Methodology and Best Practices
  • Set and continually manage Change Management expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Coach, mentor, and lead project team members educating each in the process and tools being used and their role in the process

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Change, Marketing/Communications, Computer Science, Business or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Change, IT Project, or Communications Manager
  • Change Management certification highly desired (PROSCI)

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Proven successful track record working in large/complex multi-location programs/projects
  • Exceptional understanding of SDLC and leading change for Agile projects
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences, cultures, and to all levels in an organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical information quickly
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Proven ability to drive adoption and value realization on IT Infrastructure/IT Enterprise Operations projects desired
  • Knowledge of the Staffing Industry desired
