Manager of Vendor Management

Job Description

The Manager, Vendor Management provides leadership and direction to the team to ensure department accountability for meeting Company standards, customer service, production and quality.  This position works to maintain compliance with Service Line Agreements.


Responsibilities and Expectations


  • Determine and prioritize the need for Vendors within each service line

  • Ensure the accuracy of the Vendor Management System

  • Review and disseminate existing and new guidelines to team 

  • Identify new opportunities for training to improve team processes/performance

  • Update and standardize Vendor Management training materials

  • Assist in creating new network of vendors

  • Communicate necessary changes and updates when needed

  • Provide leadership and guidance, coach, develop and hold accountable departmental staff

  • Ensure performance review process is accomplished as required by company policy

  • Maintain direct involvement and oversee any disciplinary action taken in the department

  • Continually review staffing and work volume to ensure sufficient staffing needs are met in order to ensure timely, effective, quality delivery of service

  • Work closely with peer management team to address issues affecting overall objectives

  • Provide feedback and action plan to staff for employee career development

  • Make ongoing recommendations of process improvements to management

  • Maintain confidentiality of all company/client information

  • Complete Management Reports to ensure communication to management

  • Attend necessary company meetings, training sessions and conferences

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent years of experience preferred

  • Experience working in a production-driven office environment preferred

  • 3+ years of prior supervisory experience of 15+ employees required

  • 1 year industry-related experience preferred

  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required

  • Demonstrates continuous follow-up capability

  • Proven ability to train, coach and develop employees
