Manager of Container Marketing Strategy

One of our TCG clients in the shipping industry and based in the South Hill area of Puyallup, Washington is looking to add a marketing and strategy manager to their team. This role will be providing support to the Sales and Marketing Team regarding strategy and tactics to achieve Business Segment goals. Participate in the development of business goals and objectives. Work as a team member to develop opportunities and provide direction setting, through analysis and insights. Manages key data related to business planning and progress. Responsibilities Include: -Prepare booking reports and sales results into dashboard for various business segments. -Provide accurate and timely reporting of all business metrics to clients - Be an active member of Container Management Team providing strategic insight and analysis to help develop new business opportunities and cost-effective management of the container business. - Utilize key data such as internal marketing DB and external resources such as JOC data to help identify trends and opportunities for business development. -Provide analytical support and reporting to help develop tactical response to changes in the marketplace along with competitor trends and activity. - Communicate and coordinate sales forecast with logistics to support equipment needs - Produce Rainbow charts and work with sales to upgrade cargos - Work closely with intgernal stakeholders to managing space allocations between countries and providing guidance on individual vessel/voyage requirements. - Support Project Cargo sales staff as needed - Works with the Vice President to develop annual business plan information and to manage monthly update process. - Provides key updates to finance team ? identifies significant trends and variances from targets. - Works with Regional VP? to identify variances to target and develop countermeasures for improving results. - Primary support for SalesForce.com initiatives 1. Act as software administrator for sales team. 2. Produce reports to sales team through SalesForce 3. Produce and distribute weekly sales reports

Job Requirements

- Three+ years business experience in the Transportation industry. - Ability to work from the office in Puyallup regularly - Working knowledge of SalesForce.com - Team Management skills - Strong reading comprehension with highly detail -oriented review and thought process. - Must have the analytical skills to provide an objective evaluation of alternatives and provide recommendations to management. - Strong written and verbal communication skills and the interpersonal skills required to work within an international business environment and multiple teams. - Availability to travel when needed. - Must have the ability to work independently with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict regulatory and internal deadlines. - Ability to reprioritize workload to meet immediate requirements.
