Deputy Director IP Business Partner


Swiftwater, PA-The Deputy Director IP Business Partner is responsible for Leading all actions and resources to ensure the optimization of industrial performance including the Master Data Management and System Support at Factory / Department level.


Key Accountabilities:

​*Lead the business process within the factory in close partnership with the Factory Head:

*Capability Review Process, Headcount, Budget, Strategic Plan

-Capability Review Process-Utilize technical and business knowledge to accurately assess current and future capabilities for the factories to determine future needs to ensure readiness for changes in the demand, incorporation of new products and new technologies etc.

-Headcount-As tied to the Capability Review Process, ensure consistency between the demand/current and future activity/new technology and headcount by challenging current headcount needs and understanding the relationship with the variability of activity.

-Budget-Partner with the ILT leader and IM SME on driving the budget process within the factory. Ensure all activity related to process improvement is imbedded into the budget by consistently reviewing all the factory’s needs and global/site programs.

-Strategic Plan-Partner with the ILT leader and IM SME on driving the strategic plan process within the factory. Ensure all activity related to process improvement is imbedded into the strategic plan by consistently reviewing all the factory’s needs and global/site programs.

-Creating and leading meetings related to these business processes with stakeholders (Factory Management Committee and Continuous Improvement team) to drive the link to performance and efficiency.

*Responsible for tracking and monitoring the progress of the improvement projects according to the needs coming from the business processes in partnership with the L&P SME by:

-Implementing the appropriate tools and consistently monitoring

-Tracking progress of the execution of the improvement projects

-Measuring the impact of the improvement projects on the factory’s results

-Oversee how LEAN tools (5s, +QDCI, Gemba Walks, OEE, Master Data) are operating within the factory in order to understand the utilization rates and effectiveness

-Prioritize specific activities/projects related to the site and factory’s priorities

-Develop roadmaps  and +QDCI to support the process to ensure priorities are linked to the site needs and to the necessary improvements to reach the targets

-Ensure systems and processes aligned and sustained

*Coach the factory Management Committee on IP-related business processes to ensure alignment with stakeholders by setting up and leading 1:1 meetings and all other factory and IP-related meetings

*Maintain relationships with CI (guidance), Finance, SMEs

-Set up routine meetings to ensure alignment on projects, processes, and priorities

*People management and development

-Responsible to provide ongoing coaching and development of the necessary skills and career aspirations


Basic Requirements:

*BS/BA in Business (Operations) or other technical degrees

*10+ years’ industrial experience

*Minimum 5 years’ experience leading projects, working transversally, launching new initiatives


Preferred Requirements:

*MBA preferred

*People management experience preferred
