The IT Project Manager (ITPM) manages and coordinates multiple complex projects and programs including implementation schedules, resource estimates, provides leadership, and direction for multidisciplinary teams.
The ITPM is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating technology and implementation activities on an enterprise-wide level for technology-enabled projects, coordinating activities of entity-based project teams, identifying appropriate resources needed to staff the team, and developing schedules from project plans while mitigating risk, participating in change management, escalating timely, and communicating effectively. The ITPM maintains a close working relationship with stakeholders, business relationship directors, delivery managers, release coordinators, and vendor representatives.
The ITPM position plays an integral role in the success of the group and will have assignments working independently and on other projects as part of a group. The ITPM must have a proven track record of delivering projects and programs on time and on budget.
The ITPM applies project management leading practices, champions the latest execution methods for delivery, and works well with development teams and product owners. The ITPM works with other coordinators and leaders to align delivery with well-planned releases.
The ITPM will be expected to be both project and process oriented using a data-driven approach to get results. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are vital as The ITPM will lead through influence and report out to leaders for awareness and guidance. The ideal candidate would have project management, information technology, and healthcare experience. This position may require local and/or overnight travel.
Education: Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or Business Management, or 3+ years related experience required.
Experience: 3+ years of project management experience in healthcare or business setting optimally using information systems. Agile delivery experience required.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: PMP certification is preferred upon hire or is required within one year of hire. CSM, PSM and/or ACP certification preferred.
