Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Reviews work orders and bills of material to ensure accuracy and completeness of work operations, materials and standard time. Establishes or adjusts work procedures and reallocates personnel to meet production schedules.
Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Proposes and provides justification for changes in working conditions, use/modification of existing equipment or shop space and purchase of new equipment/tooling to increase productivity and efficiency of shops and adjustments to workforce to support business base.
Supervises lead persons, assemblers and testers in the hose and wire harness shop. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, performance and evaluation of these units.
Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
