Global Product Manager, Interventional Cardiology & Radiology

Job Description



PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead cross-geographic and cross-functional team(s) to ensure project and launch success * Maintain strong, consistent and clear communication with all stakeholders on a continual basis * Represent the 'voice of the customer' - drive optimal utilization of market information and analysis to guide insights and decision-making * Ensure existing business efforts are strategically impactful in Global Markets * Drive and support existing global SBU business operations and strategies, including robust lifecycle plans * Be the advocate for international market development at the business unit level * Understand the market trends and market size, the customer, competing systems and companies and potential new competing technologies * Take ownership of product line including sales forecasting and budget planning and new product forecast process * Ensure availability of expert-level knowledge in the use of products * Be knowledgeable of medical and surgical procedures, decision makers, clinical needs and market opportunities * Maintain awareness of U.S.-centric vs International product preferences * Develop action plans for new product development-to-delivery, including stage-gate process * Analyze data and trends to proactively plan and communicate key marketing activities * Ensure relevancy, compliance and ease of use of all product labeling, manuals and training materials * Ensure direct regional downstream engagement * Design and test economic value proposals * Actively lead or participate in cross-functional teams * Be recognized as an expert in key international market regions * Identify, design and execute effective Strategic Market Development Initiatives * Lead, develop and execute comprehensive commercialization strategies (ex: Regional Roadshows, new product launch) * Expand network of regional advisory boards into emerging markets * Develop, recommend, launch and lead strategic growth plans and strategies using program/project management best practices * Build stakeholder collaboration to ensure program success * Drive technical projects ensuring timely launch success * Ensure smooth transition to regional partners * Collaborate with regional partners, clinical marketers, education teams, and field sales representatives to ensure message development, distribution and management of communications, communication tools and training efforts * Support development of value proposition messaging and fulfill communication requirements of Global Markets * Coordinate with Clinical Marketing, Clinical & Medical Affairs and/ or Training and Education team to prepare training content * Identify, design and execute New Product Plans and New Market opportunities in Global Markets * Partner with Business Development/ Mergers and Acquisitions to implement strategies as requested * Define, address and overcome new business/ product related issues, including defining product specifications, operational factors, customer needs, regulatory and distribution hurdles, time lines, forecasts, value proposition and entry/ exit strategies * All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System * Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations * Performs other duties as assigned by Management Note: 25 % of this job involves direct R&D activities.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

* 3+ years ofproduct management experience, medical device product management experience preferred * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) * Master's Degree (preferred) * Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel, Word, and PPT; web & email marketing experience

SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to interpret and analyze marketing plans to develop appropriate communications program strategies and tactics * Proven experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment from concept through development * Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills * Ability to formulate and manage budgets * Detail oriented * Excellence in building strong relationships both internally in a heavily matrixed environment, and externally across diverse partnerships * Outstanding presentation skills * Ability to work within the constraints of a regulated industry * Understanding of products, their use environments and audiences * Understanding of overall healthcare environment/landscape * Ability to make timely, strategic decisions in an ambiguous, face-paced environment * Solid business acumen * Experience with successful product and brand launches * Robust project management skills * Strong influence management skills
