Robert Half is looking for an interim finance detail oriented to fill the position of Chief Audit Executive for a company in the Indianapolis area. The CAE will have responsibility for all internal audit functions, oversight of internal controls governance, and business integrity and ethics. The CAE is responsible for establishing the internal audit vision for the company, responsible for providing assurance over core financial, operational, and compliance processes. Candidate must have materials weakness/internal controls remediation experience on a large scale and be able to direct people and take control. SOX experience a must. Bachelor's degree; concentration in Accounting or Finance. CPA Certification. Minimum of 8-10 years of direct work related experience. Extensive experience in finance and accounting business processes, including external audit or internal audit in regulated financial services firms. Successful leadership in a management role, leading a department and developing a strong team in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment. Exposure to enterprise risk management, with experience developing risk appetites, performing risk assessments and monitoring practices. Experience leading and managing large scale initiatives and managing associated change. Demonstrated success leading professionals. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, efficient level, and positive orientation. Strong working knowledge of information technology and its implications for business commerce and managing and controlling business operations. Orchestrates systemic change ? initiatives, supports and manages change within the organization, taking steps to remove barriers or to accelerate its pace. Constructive approach to dealing with conflict; strong mediation skills. Skillful negotiator in tough situations, sells ideas persuasively, settles differences and wins concessions without damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful while remaining diplomatic.
