The Field Sales Manager is an exempt position that is responsible for sales account development within an established geographic territory for a moderately complex set of products and services using an array of prospecting activities.
 
Essential Functions:
 
• Prospect and develop sales with Multi Tennant Unit (MTU) sales in designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities by contacting prospective customers by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
• Create and execute territory plans to meet and exceed revenue and assigned product unit targets within assigned MTU’s.
• Develop and manage customer relationships for assigned accounts in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and attain additional business.
• Learn and develop further knowledge of new technologies and selling points which includes enhancing expertise in the company's product application technologies.
• Become an expert in the competitive environment and be able to communicate regarding competitive offerings while effectively positioning our client as the best telecommunications choice for assigned locations
• Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.

Job Requirements



Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:
 
• Demonstrated experience with solution selling IP, data, and voice network services to business customers
• Business communications application sales experience
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com application preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Exemplary presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction and ability to provide assistance to sales force.
• Proficiency in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
 
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
 
• BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferably in business administration, marketing or sales field. 
• Minimum 3 years field sales experience
 
Additional Job Requirements:
 
• Ability to travel at least 90% or more per month conducting sales activities outside of the office
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing and moving items.
• Performs additional job duties as assigned.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently.
