Four (4) year college degree (or equivalent significant work experience)
At least seven (7) years of prior work experience with digital marketing strategies, online media and eCommerce (includingSEO and SEM)
Five (5) or more years of experience analyzing data and presenting thefindings to internal and/or external customers
Five (5) or more years of experience maintaining internal or externalcustomer relationships and satisfaction
Five (5) or more years of experience with reputation management, social media strategy and social marketing techniques
Experiencewith enterprise digitalanalytics platforms including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
CMSor HTML basic knowledge
Prior hotel/resort, destination marketing ortravel industry experience preferred
Highly proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
What will I be doing?
The eCommerce Manager at Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort collaborates with the hotel's commercial leaders and is responsible for the reporting, analysis and tactical activation of online strategies. The manager executes and tracks performance focused on driving digital demand, online conversion, and reputation management. The manager engages with regional and corporate leaders on SEO and SEM strategies, and prepares monthly data and analysis on hotel-level performance with strong knowledge of attribution models, ROI and benchmarks. Refines strategies and articulates new digital opportunities to key stakeholders.
35%Strategy & Analysis: Guides cohesive digital strategy with short- and long-term objectives. Serves as the hotel leader in reporting and analysis of the key performance indicators such as digital performance and conversion. Has strong command of SEO and SEM, and provides analysis to hotel general manager, revenue management and sales to ensure strategy and tactics are aligned to achieve hotel needs. Provides monthly business review to key internal and external stakeholders with qualitative and quantitative data to drive continual improvement. Refines strategy based on analysis, market share, and changing business environment. Has strong knowledge of multi-channel marketing, target audiences, and attribution models.
25%Paid Media, Budget & Activation: Develops and manages hotel digital marketing budget and activation calendar. Ensures budget supports the hotel strategy and prioritizes spend based on targeted goals and objectives. Has strong command of digital paid media investments, core media and top-up programs, email marketing, generic and ancillary media. Utilizes data on feeder market, target audiences, competitive approach and market behavior to maximize performance. Measures and reports on ROI and appropriate benchmarks.
20% Online Content & Conversion: Maintains and enhances all online content, photography and video on Brand and third party transient and group sites to drive measurable performance. Ensures the hotel's positioning is reflected online and that content meets or exceeds brand standards. Has strong knowledge of third party content scoring. Identifies and develops new digital content that drives engagement and conversion.
10% Reputation Management: Collaborates with an on-property reputation management champion or agency to ensure timely response to third party reviews. Identifies trends in customer sentiment and opportunities for property improvement. Ensures content in hotel social media channels meets Hilton social media standards, and drives positive engagement growth YOY
5% SEO and Earned Media: Proactively identifies opportunities to increase awareness in digital platforms and earned media placements that have a positive impact on SEO, and supports with reporting and analysis. Reviews and approves content for online optimization. Monitors effectiveness of earned media efforts and adjusts as necessary
5% Digital Creative Asset Management: Works Hilton resources, marketing toolkits, preferred agencies and vendors to produce creative assets for digital media. Knowledge of brand identity guidelines, fonts, colors, positioning, voice, and brand templates and toolkits. Ensures materials are provided to digital publishers in a timely manner and within brand guidelines
