Manage, direct, and plan our client's technology infrastructure and information systems. Provide ongoing analysis to recommend and develop short and long-term technology plans to provide efficient and cost effective technology tools to meet the company's dynamic needs. Serve as the lead technologist. Promote positive employee relations and morale. Support staff in such a way that allows them to provide members with an extraordinary experience in accordance with their core values. Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain IT configuration and performance standards, monitor controls to ensure standards are maintained, perform annual risk assessment for IT area. Ensure that all internal/external audit and compliance procedures are being followed, develop and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures. - Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect member, employee, and credit union information. Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements, in addition to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. - Oversees the maintenance of hardware and software at the company's disaster recovery site and provides technical support for disaster recovery testing, update, monitor, and continuously ensure compliance of the credit union?s technology services (i.e. disaster recovery/business continuity plans, computer security, loss prevention plans, and antivirus), Oversee the testing and verification of hardware and software implementations and upgrades. - Research industry trends to ensure the information systems structure and equipment are adequate to meet needs and align with the strategic plan. - Prepare, implement, and supervise the department budget. Develop and maintain ongoing business relationships with related vendors. Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching product availability and recommend procedures and systems that best meet needs.

Job Requirements

Expectations: 1. Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily department demands. 2. Ensure prompt response to and recovery from systems and network related production interruptions, across multiple hardware platforms, networks and operating systems. 3. Anticipate system and network security/integrity risks and ensure adequate safeguards are maintained. 4. Ensure credit union licensed PC software remains current by testing and updating software as new versions are released. 5. Identify opportunities to improve services to the credit union and/or its members through use of new products and technologies. 6. Develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to products, pricing and processes by monitoring trends in financial services operations. 7. Keep senior management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department. 8. Note observations of employee performance. Give and receive feedback from employee on the same no later than XX working days following each quarter, completing performance reviews within the prescribed time frame. Knowledge and Skills: Five years to ten years of similar or related experience in a bank or CU setting. Education: A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school. Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary. Other Skills: 1. Previous data processing experience including networks, PCs, data communications, mainframe and PC programming and data organization. 2. Technical planning, project management and supervisory experience. 3. Ability to discuss technical issues effectively with other data processing professionals as well as non technical users. 4. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. 5. Ability to work and travel independently and use general office equipment, give speeches and make presentations.
