Job Description

Cottage Health is currently seeking a strategic, team-oriented and results-driven Director of Technical Services and Infrastructure to join our team of highly skilled IT professionals that thrive on challenges and collaboration, and have a passion for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve problems   

The incumbent must have a broad knowledge of infrastructure, network systems and protocols, integration and server administration and databases. Demonstrates strong leadership skills, to motivate and lead a diversely skilled team in the design and development of all components of strategic and tactical infrastructure and technical services. This position will manage the Technical Services and Infrastructure department(s) of Cottage Health and report directly to the Chief Information Officer.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Responsible for strategic and tactical technical services and infrastructure technology plans and operations. Assess and understand existing and future technologies and infrastructure needs, incorporating industry best practices. Responsible for developing technology services roadmap and executing with a high level of success. Leads the development of technical services delivery, infrastructure strategy, architecture, technology standards, practices, and standard operating procedures. Participates in IT strategic planning with the CIO and as a member of the Information Technology leadership team.


Partners and collaborates with key stakeholders and peers to understand, gather and document business requirements; perform technology gap analysis; and design solutions and sourcing alternatives to meet the needs of the business aligning to standards, security, and industry best practice. Tasked with implementing end-to-end solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness. Works in close partnership with IT Security to implement technical standards, practices, solutions, and services that meet security provisions, policies, procedures, and standards as defined by IT Security. Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data residing on or transmitted using enterprise workstations, servers, and other systems. Ensures compliance with IT Security policies and procedures.


Responsible for data center operations, network management, server management and operations, storage, database management, cloud-based services, Citrix and other platforms and technologies. Oversees the development, implementation, maintenance, and management of plans, standard operating procedures and processes for enterprise network and data center operations to support day-to-day operations. This includes system redundancy, disaster recovery, risk mitigation, and business continuity in support of 24/7 operations. Develop and maintains robust 24/7/365 technical services support model. Responsible for ensuring the enterprise has the capabilities to support new technologies and maintain acceptable levels of network performance, data integrity, and reliability.


Responsible for providing acceptable and quality technical services for the delivery of consumer and patient care services and in support of the organization. Establishes and meets metrics, key performance indicators, and service level agreements for the purpose of driving performance excellence. Manages service level agreements, vendor management, and outsourcing arrangements. Works in partnership with the CIO on vendor selection, vendor agreements, negotiations, contracting, performance, and compliance. May prepare RFI, RFP, and other documentation as required.


Job Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related field or 8 equivalent years’ experience.



Broad knowledge of Information Technology, network systems and protocols, integration protocols, server administration, and databases. Proven ability to lead the design and development of all components of infrastructure architecture.


8 years Information Technology progressive and relevant experience leading technical services, IT infrastructure, or IT operations. Must include leadership experience in areas such as network design and administration, data center operations, database and system administration. Experience building teams and driving change within an organization. Strong customer service and collaboration skills.
