Director of Strategy and Operations

Compensation: $85000.00 to $140000.00 yearly

Our Dallas Interior Design Client is looking for an accomplished, proactive, and empathetic leader to join our team as the General Manager, back-filling the current GM/Owner. While your background may be varied (through it will preferably include some digitally native/e-commerce experience), the most important thing is that you demonstrate a commitment to excellence (focus on company results) and people empowerment (through empathetic, values-centered leadership). This role is responsible for overseeing the following functions: Finance, Strategy, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Retail and HR.

Responsibilities
- Lead all functions at the company with the exception of Creative/Design
- Responsibility for the plans and execution to drive revenue and profitability growth
- Responsibility for strategy and improvement of digital marketing efforts and website
- Oversight and involvement with customer experience, including rendering decisions on priority customer service tickets
- Ownership and management of warehouse and fulfillment operations
- Responsibility for overseeing and arranging business financing
- Own and grow relationship with many key vendors
- Responsibility for demand planning/forecasting and creation and submittal of key POs
- Joint ownership with Caitlin of budgeting process

Job Requirements

Requirements
- Empathetic, high-energy, nimble-minded and kind leader with the appropriate experience
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Problem solver and resourceful – we’re still small and scrappy!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong in MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in a digitally native or DTC e-commerce business preferred
- Experience leading a team
- MBA not required but preferred
- Passion for interior design/home décor a definite plus!
