Director of Revenue Management - Revenue Analysis - Hilton NY Midtown

Job Description

The Hilton Midtown New York City is now hiring for an experienced Director of Revenue Management Business Analyst to join its team. Given the leadership role within the Revenue Management department, the position requires strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will facilitate development of the revenue management staff. The position is responsible for setting and executing short-term transient strategy. Responsibilities also include group management; specifically, utilizing knowledge of hotel and market conditions to establish and facilitate group strategy via group inventory and pricing analysis, including space maximization, banquets revenue, and concessions. Frequent projects will arise that the DORM - Business Analysis will fully own. Across all tasks executed, the individual must be very analytical - able to mine large volumes of data, find relevant trends, and present cohesive, succinct, and executable strategies. Presentations to the hotel's Executive Committee, including GM, DOSM, and DOF, will be frequent, as will interactions with Hilton senior leadership. As such, strong communication skills are paramount.At least 3+ years of revenue management experience is required along with supervisory exposure. A college degree and previously held a department/division head leadership role in revenue management is a plus.

What will I be doing?
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls including, but not limited to, room accommodation and rate inventory controls, roll-in controls, group inventory and cut-off dates, implementation of blackout dates, maintaining demand information and managing sellout strategies in partnership with Front Office
  • Serve as primary liaison with Front Office, Sales and Marketing and Reservation to maximize inventory and profitability
  • Develop, monitor and adjust sales and pricing strategies
  • Conducts competitive and demand analyses and provides critical analysis of chosen strategies, room statistics and general demand factors to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability
  • Conduct forecasting, review all competitive shops, review demand, convention and city event calendars, maintain data on competitor products and maintain historical data on events and performance
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
  • Manage the department and participate in and facilitate meetings
