The Director, IT Project Management works with the VP of IT and Informatics to lead IT projects enterprise and/or department wide, and both internally and externally. The position understands the project management life cycle and has extensive knowledge and experience with project management processes. The position defines, develops and maintains the standards and industry best practice of project management. The position performs all functions of project management and understands business operations and process flows in order to lead projects involving the efforts of individual departments or cross-departmental teams.

On behalf of IT, the position leads or is involved in leading strategic projects and initiatives. The position develops and updates project charters and proposals for IT projects. Specifically, the position will lead and implement the Data Governance project/programs. He/She will lead the team from different departments to develop, implement, and maintain mechanisms for Data Governance. These mechanisms include building governance structure, analyzing business processes and data, improving the quality and consistency of the data, developing and maintaining data standards and dictionaries, and managing derived sub-projects. Equipped with technology skills and knowledge, the position regularly works closely with IT departments and business staff and leadership to make suggestions and proposals for business optimization and productivity improvement. The position helps manage the vendors and consultants externally including drafting contracts, writing SOWs, and setting milestones.

****FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION, PLEASE SEND RESUMES DIRECTLY TO [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]**** Education and Professional Requirements: • Minimum BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field • PMP certification required (MBA could be substitution) • Minimum eight years of progressively increasing responsibility in software development and/or data management • Minimum ten years experience in managing IT projects and staff in a customer-focused environment • Proven experience in managing IT projects of varying sizes and complexities • Proven experience in data processing and management • Knowledge and experience of project management and software programming best practices and methodologies • Knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle, programming constructs and standard methodologies • Customer relationship skills coupled with excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills with both technical and non-technical personnel are required • Ability to develop and manage teams and to stimulate cooperation among staff • Ability to delegate appropriate levels of responsibility and authority to subordinates, monitor progress, and coach for success
