Director Digital Workplace and Internal User Experience

Robert Half is seeking a Director, Digital Workplace Internal User Experience to be responsible for understanding and innovating on new ways of working, have a broader focus on the online employee experience of Robert Half's internal tools, and apply user experience principles across the digital workplace landscape. The Director will partner with Product Management Technical teams to drive, design, and deliver innovative employee solutions. This leadership role will stay current on internal and external trends and technology and provide point of view on experience and design. Serves as a thought leader in employee experience digital solutions and design thinking in an effort to improve adoption of our internal tools, improve the experience of our global intranet (digital Workplace), increase employee efficiency. Leads an organization that includes Internal User Experience, Content Strategy/CMS, and partners closely with Development, Product and Automation teams. The Director defines the structure of our SharePoint Online platform and other information-rich products and hold the vision for the site(s) as a whole. Interested? Job Requirements

?Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, User Experience, Human Computer Interaction, Digital Marketing or Information Architecture ? and/or Business Management/Leadership. ?10+ years experience developing and supporting enterprise intranet applications, UX and digital technology solutions in large organizations. ?7+ years of business management/leadership experience, including direct supervisory experience and experience mentoring/developing technical professionals. ?Experience presenting proposals to senior management to gain buy-in and encourage specific actions or strategies. ?Experience developing team vision and strategies and gaining buy-in from team members. ?Demonstrated ability to identify innovative and creative solutions for technical challenges and capable to help business partners apply new technologies to grow enterprise productivity. ?Experience shaping team culture and ability to foster a positive work environment ?At least 5+years managing employee facing web solutions, intranet portal, SharePoint Online, or collaboration platform team at a large company ?At least 5+ years managing a User Experience Architecture team / department at a large firm. ?Advanced understanding of User Experience Architecture, User-Centered Design Analysis and web/application design. ?Good understanding front to back of a company?s operational flow. ?Experience working with an international company, with multiple locations and languages. ?5+ years experience managing direct reports, including mentoring/developing, ideally management of web professionals and creative designers. ?Demonstrated ability to learn new hardware/software systems independently. ?Proven track record for working with Sr. level managers to develop strategy, analysis, and presenting in-depth proposals. ?Advanced experience defining strategy and roadmap for a global intranet portal and a global collaboration platform. ?Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (O365) services preferred ?Familiarity with other enterprise SaaS productivity applications (e.g. content management systems, contract management systems, customer relationship management systems, etc.) a plus ?Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly ?Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat, Microsoft Office products including Project and Visio, text-editor and Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash a plus ?Familiar with HTML, DHTML, XML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript. ?Familiar with web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, Web Services, etc.) and mobile technologies ?Familiar with the full software development lifecycle. ?Advanced courses and/or professional certifications in communication, leadership, strategy, and/or project management a plus ?Certified Usability Analysis (CUA) certification preferred or HCI Certification preferred. ?Information Architecture, Interactive Media and/or User Experience Methodology courses preferred ?Proven leadership skills. ?Excellent oral and written communication skills. ?Demonstrated project management skills. ?Strong customer service and client relationship management skills. ?Strong interpersonal skills that will enable this position to work well with key stake holders; team organization skills. ?Proven ability to collaborate and work with numerous teams at all levels, including senior level and executive leaders. ?Web production development knowledge preferred ?Rich media, video audio experience preferred. ?HTML, internet/web usability, content management, web authoring, network fundamentals. ?Design software, advanced graphics, photography, web design tools and visual diagramming tools. ?Content and mobile strategy experience preferred.
