THE POSITION


Due to expansion of our Law Firm Management practice, we are looking to hire another search professional. Ideally, this professional will be located in Los Angeles or the Bay Area, and will have a strong understanding of and network in the California legal market. This position will focus on recruiting “chief” and “director” level management professionals for law firms.



Role



This position will report to our Global Law Firm Management Practice Leader. This will involve:



● Executing and closing search assignments


● Writing and editing position descriptions and candidate and short list reports


● Client management


● Candidate management


● Networking


● Gathering, recording and sharing market intelligence

Job Requirements



Required Skills



The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:



● 5+ years’ legal or executive search recruitment experience, ideally with a focus in law firm management positions.


● BS/BA degree required, JD/MBA preferred


● C level sales experience is a plus


● Experience working with lawyers and law firms


● Proven ability to develop business, including gaining repeat business from clients


● Experience successfully negotiating search contracts


● Track record of success managing the full search process, from candidate identification and communication to offer negotiations


● A thorough understanding of the search process to include: acquiring and aggregating stakeholder input, job analysis and development of position descriptions, candidate sourcing and evaluation, reference and background checking, and offer presentation and negotiations.


● Proven ability to close assignments


● A team player who willingly works with others and shares knowledge


● Strong verbal and written communication skills – will prepare position descriptions, candidate reports and author relevant industry articles


● Commitment to ethics, equal opportunity and diversity


● Excellent interpersonal skills.


● Strong organizational skills.


● Intense dedication to client service.


● Places high value on integrity, quality, and mutual respect.
