Job Summary / Purpose
The ‘Senior Management Consultant – IT Strategy’ is part of ACS Group’s technology consulting practices and reports into ACS Group’s Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer. The objective of the role is to provide consulting services to ACS’ clients for enabling the transformation and performance improvement of their enterprise or its parts, specifically with respect to technology. This is a senior professional and leader who provides expertise and guidance on relevant capabilities related to people, processes and tools for technology transformation, as needed and agreed per objectives and scope of a client engagement.
This senior consultant assists in building and maturing ACS’ Technology Consulting practices, cultivating strong trusted relationships with clients and prospects, and assisting Sales for closing new and repeat business for these practices.
This senior consultant uses, promotes and supports the effective execution and evolution of ACS’s management consulting/Strategy development best practices for its clients. She/he establishes/strengthens their and ACS Group’s SME recognition and leadership in the industry, via active participation in blogs, professional forums, whitepapers and speaking engagements.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Accountable and responsible for leading and facilitating the definition and implementation of IT strategy and roadmap(s) for technology transformation, aligned to both business strategy and enterprise architecture, for assigned clients -
–Develops a good understanding of the strategic objectives and goals of the client organization, at the enterprise level as well as department level
–Develops a good understanding and recommends additions as needed, for key drivers behind the need of transformation
–Engages all required parties, internal and external to the company, for strategy development and alignment discussions
–Facilitates discussions for identifying and prioritizing the challenges
–Recommends required dimensions and considerations to view and resolve challenges holistically
–Recommends and facilitates identification of short-term and long-term resolution approaches, and initiatives. Facilitates prioritization of these initiatives based on company’s strategic direction and objectives, business & functional priorities, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
–Ensures that all identified initiatives and investments are aligned with business strategy and priorities
–Identifies quick-wins / low-hanging fruit opportunities for productivity/efficiency/TCO improvements, and facilitates discussion on essential steps to get those initiatives defined for execution
–Recommends and assists with definition of suitable success metrics for measuring effectiveness and impact of the transformation strategy/roadmap(s)/initiatives
–Creates and maintains the appropriate levels of documentation of strategy and roadmap(s), as needed for target audience (C-level, senior to mid-level management, 3rd party partners)
–Creates an effective communication strategy and cadence for periodic updates, inputs and concurrence on key decisions and other items with all key stakeholders
–Also guides and leads the transformation process from current to future state, if that service is requested
•Contributes significantly to client satisfaction and references, with quality and value of their work
•Develops and maintains documentation on their assignment/work delivered/practices used for knowledge sharing purposes and future reference
•Actively engages with pre-Sales efforts and supports Sales in closing the deals and winning new business by demonstrating and/or effectively articulating the value of ACS services
•Contributes to the improvement of the ACS’ Management Consulting/Strategy Development best practices, processes and tools by bringing new ideas and feedback to their manager
•Establishes/strengthens their and ACS Group’s SME recognition in the industry – by writing whitepapers, blogs and doing professional speaking assignments regularly for area(s) of their subject matter expertise
