Finance Manager – Procurement

Job Description

The Procurement Finance Manager is responsible for reporting Procurement related financial information to the BBU Leadership Team, as well as the Global Proc team.  This includes biweekly reporting of Year-over-year inflation/deflation for Raw Materials and Energy, monthly Sr. Leadership market updates, Productivity tracking and reporting, Plan coordination and quarterly hedge compliance testing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure BBU compliance with Global Procurement hedge policies and procedures
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining Procurement systems, and reporting Procurement related financial information to Sr. Management and Global Procurement Team
  • Coordinate Annual Plan process with Category Managers and validate Plan results with Central Manufacturing Finance Team
  • Daily tracking and verification of brokerage activity, including providing margin authorization and wires to Treasury
  • Monitoring and reporting of Productivity projects/status and savings, insure overdue projects are updated by Category Managers
  • Update quarterly Hedge Effectiveness compliance and communicate results with GB Risk, BBU Accounting and external auditors
  • Various ad hoc reporting, including but not limited to assisting w RFQ’s, COA Reporting, Quarterly T&E Analysis, Commodities Updates for Sales Team, Historical Wheat Blend Analysis, miscellaneous other


Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; supply chain, logistics, purchasing or related degree preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of related experience
  • Extensive experience with data mining and analysis, strong analytical background

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Access); proven technical acumen required
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor, and also be collaborative on procurement team initiatives
  • Extensive experience with the mining and analysis of data
  • Ability to translate data analytics into an effective presentation
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Organizationally agile
  • Problem solving
  • Experience managing and measuring work 
  • Track record of building strong peer relationships
