Director/VP of Sales and Marketing

Job Description

Our client is looking to hire a Director/VP of Sales and Marketing for one of their brand divisions.  This position is responsible for the strategy and oversight of the marketing, sales and pricing of the company products. It is responsible for overall planning and management for identifying, promoting and selling products to all classes of customers, and developing regional and territory sales managers.  This opportunity will be based in the office located near Fremont, CA area. 


Responsibilities include:

 

  • Sets the sales programs and policies for territory sales managers.
  • Responsible for the development, supervision and performance of the territory sales managers that report to this position.
  • Responsible for the development of key customer programs.
  • Responsible for high profile key long-term customer relationships.
  • Responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, market targets and trends, and developing pricing strategies.
  • Responsible for ascertaining and providing key strategic sales insights.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, performance, development, promotion, and discipline of sales employees. Assigns objectives and conducts performance appraisals of direct reports.

Job Requirements

Successful Candidates Will Have: 

  • MBA or ten (10) years minimum sales leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Experience in new product market development/growth.
  • Building Products sales experience preferred.
