Compensation: $160,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year
My client, a bio pharmaceutical company, located in NYC is seeking a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will report directly to the CFO and will be primarily responsible for the financial planning and control functions. In this role the candidate will work closely with shared services finance and accounting team to ensure timely and accurate processing of POs and Invoices and maintain a control environment. You will work with the RSI staff, our internal audit function, and our external auditors to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. In this context you will help analyze the financial impact of proposed business development or clinical development programs. This will require a close working relationship with the project management function. He or she will represent the Finance group in key contract negotiations alongside the program management and legal teams. The Director of Finance will be responsible for preparing budgetary and financial analysis for Board meetings, including updated cash burn forecasts. You will be responsible for approving payroll release and reviewing weekly check runs. You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring corporate and programmatic budgets and preparing analysis of our progress against these budgets to enable management decisions. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred Responsibilities Assist the RSI staff in the quarterly closing and financial statement preparation and review process. In this role includes people management, describe this in one of the accountabilities below Experience (e.g. Jobs, supervisory, industry, international, etc): CPA with 5 to 10 years of public accounting experience preferred, additional 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry Include key interactions or dependencies with other jobs, functional areas and/or external service providers Working closely with the project management teams and the RSI accounting and finance team, build and maintain integrated corporate and programmatic budgets and analyze the variance to these budgets on a timely basis. Prepare these financial analyses for Board meetings, including updated liquidity views. Work with RSI staff, internal auditors, and external auditors to maintain a control environment and help prepare for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
