Brand Strategy Senior Manager CE/Smart Home
Location - 837 Washington Street, New York, NY
Reporting to the Director of CE/HA/Smart Home Marketing of Samsung North America, the individual will play a crucial role to build sustainable strategy of Samsung brand/brands in the given category. He/She will also propose a clear brand architecture which is relevant to that industry. He/She should be able to understand, analyze Samsung brand/brands and the situation it is facing and build winning brand/marketing strategy for either Consumer Electronics/Smart Home, Home Appliances.
He/She should ensure full visibility and understanding of the businesss most pressing needs and competitors landscape and at the same time the vision form HQ in order to build a relevant and sustainable strategy for the North America. Furthermore, the individual should also work on the milestones of Samsung Home which will eventually cover TV, Audio, Home Appliances, Smart Home. He/She should identify new opportunities by creating this new territory and propose a clear road map to build it all in creating additional values for the brand.
He/She should propose short-term and long-term action plan based on his recommendation in working closely with all key components of each integrated campaign/ across the Integrated Marketing teams which include: media, experiential, PR, digital marketing, insights, Retail marketing etc . He/She needs to establish effective working relationships with not only marketing functional leads but also with demand generation, product marketing, channel marketing teams, Business team as well as PIT. The individual will play a crucial role to advise SVP of SE/HA/Smart Home Marketing and also act as a deputy marketing executive in her absence for the category.
1.Build strategic plan for Samsung HA OR CE/Smart Home
2.Liaise and lead Corporate Marketing  and Demand Generation/ Business team towards the common goals
3.Work closely with PIT to influence future developments with American consumer insights
4.Collaborate with CE/HA GBM Marketing to establish tailor-made marketing mix for N/A on major launches
5.Serve as right hand person and strategy lead for Head of HA/CE/SH Marketing
Necessary Skills / Attributes
MBA preferred, but not required
10+ years of experience in brand product marketing or strategy planning in communication agency
If possible, 2-3 years of experience in consumer electronics or technologies but not required
Other Required Attributes:
Solid knowledge in consumer marketing/communication
Curious about new technologies/emerging trends and open to learn
Strong analytic and synthetic capability
Passion for brand building
Effective communication and presentation
Excellent relation building skills and negotiation skills
Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Must be able to navigate in matrix-type organizations with multiple reporting
Strong project management skills, with ability to efficiently scope and execute concrete strategic initiatives, and lead multi-functional teams with diverse interests toward share objectives
Proven ability to lead, build consensus, and work effectively across departments and divisions
Self-motivated, proactive and reactive, ability to prioritize projects and adjust as needed
Highly organized/detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
Positive attitude and relentless drive to succeed
