Raytheon's Intelligence and Information Services (IIS) business is one of four main business areas that comprise Raytheon. There is a Ft. Meade-based Business Development (BD) organization at the IIS level focused on growing Raytheon's Cyber Security and SIGINT support to the National Security Agency (NSA) and United States CYBER Command (USCYBERCOM). This position will be part of the IIS-level Ft. Meade-based BD organization and it will provide support to several Product Lines (PLs) within IIS, the main one being Information Security Solutions (ISS). Others include Engineering Intelligence Solutions (EIS) and Mission Operations Solutions (MOS). Within the ISS PL, Fort Meade Operations (FMO) is the main sub-PL. Note: This is one of several BD and Capture Management positions available within the IIS Ft. Meade BD organization.
The ISS Ft. Meade Manager Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business primarily within the NSA market but also within other Ft. Meade-based customers (i.e., US CYBERCOMMAND and locally-based DoD cyber components). He or she will have a demonstrated track record in developing initial win strategies for new markets and/or targets, developing a strategic plan and business solutions, formulating, communicating and implementing market strategies, shaping the intelligence customer, developing competitive assessments, discriminators, and key win themes. This position is responsible for market analysis, strategy development, managing the existing strategy and monitoring progress toward organizational objectives. This position requires direct interaction with acquisition and mission personnel at various levels within the target agencies and commands. An existing network of business relationships and the ability to forge new partnerships is key, along with a demonstrated record of success doing similar work. Other responsibilities include: a) customer focused marketing to develop solutions to customer programs, b) developing technology requirements (IRAD, CRAD) to support new business capture, c) identification of potential merger and acquisition (M&A) candidates, d) win/loss analysis and related process improvement, e) efficient management of new business investment (NBI) resources.
