Compensation: $99,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
High growth, stable and profitable company in Columbia is looking for a Controller who would be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including producing monthly financial statements, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Day to day responsibilities include the management of financial reporting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (Billing and Collections), and Payroll. The ideal candidate would direct, manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of the accounting functions. Experience with 3rd party billing highly preferred. The ideal candidate would be able to maintain and enhance a documented system of accounting policies and procedures and outsourced functions. Must be able to coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit as well as comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. BS in Accounting/Finance and a CPA is required. At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience and a large CPA firm (Big 4 experience preferred) and experience in billing and collecting from insurance third party payers is a plus.
