.NET Web Development Team Lead

Job Description

Key operational responsibilities




• Lead application design sessions and code walk-throughs.



• Lead the development efforts for business applications/solutions; this includes both employee and contractor based efforts.



• Manage team member activities as they relate to project development and/or application support.



• Lead analysis sessions that will produce Business Requirement documents for new and existing solutions.



• Mentor team members on the proper use and application of technologies.



• Provide feedback on technical development of Application Developer resources.



• Assist in establishing and maintaining technology based best practices.



• Work with team members to identify potential risks in application design and delivery.



• Own and manage the support and continued growth of all development platforms.



• Ensure Web Application team best practices and procedures are followed by all team members



• Provide technical direction and assistance as needed.



• Assist in establishing and maintaining development, test, and production environments.



• Analyze and debug application issues quickly and effectively. This may include coordination with additional technical areas.



• Serve as primary contact for application break fix situations and system enhancements.



• Provide production support as needed for mission critical applications. This may include support beyond typical business hours and include communication with business users.




Competencies needed



• 10 - 14 years of experience in IT industry using Microsoft Technologies



• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics, Software Engineering or other technical field, or equivalent job/industry experience.



• Extensive end to end experience in building custom and configurable IT solutions.



• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies including but not limited to SharePoint, .Net, and Visual Studio.



• Extensive experience with Microsoft Work Flow; both within .Net and SharePoint.



• Extensive experience with C# and ASP.NET.



• Experienced in object-oriented software implementations.



• Have experience implementing Service-Oriented Architecture principles and best practices in solution architecture and design.



• Experience using and configuring Visual Studio Team System/ Team Foundation Server.



• Experienced in developing design artifacts based on UML notations.



• Experienced in using and building application frameworks.



• Possess a good understanding of relational database concepts.



• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.



• Ability to communicate effectively with business users as well as technical users.



• Ability to effectively lead development and/or support teams.



• Ability to make good decisions based on knowledge and experience.



Nice to Have Skills:



• Microsoft certification such as MCAD, MCSD with .NET is highly desirable.
