Primary Responsibility: Responsible for assisting in the consolidation of corporate budgets, forecasts, and monthly results across domestic and international business segments along with financial planning for corporate overhead costs. Essential Functions: 1.Serve as a resource on the Financial Planning & Analysis team for data collection, analysis, and presentation of total company results 2.Become an expert with financial systems(SAP, BPC, Red Prairie) and in collecting data via interviews and distributed templates 3.Develop clear and concise analyses, written variance explanations, and PowerPoint presentation slides 4.Perform the corporate planning function for our domestic presence along with international operations in Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina Assist with the development of consolidated budget, forecast, and report of monthly results; assist in driving the process as well as compiling the final product from the various entities Become the teams expert in interacting with and maintaining the corporate financial systems (BPC/SAP) Assist in collecting and analyzing submissions from international finance contacts Assist the international countries with developing monthly results packages for the executive team Isolate the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations on international country results Develop process improvements to streamline reporting and requests 5. Budget, forecast, and report monthly results for corporate overhead costs at a department level Work with EVP and VP-level department heads to develop the annual expense budgets and rolling 12-month forecasts Develop clear and concise explanations of monthly variances to prior year, forecast and budget levels Manage a calendar for regularly interacting with department heads to maintain a rolling 12-month expense forecast Assist senior management with identifying and planning cost reduction and operational initiatives 6. Assist with developing the companys annual budgets and 12-months rolling forecasts 7. Develop slides for executive PowerPoint presentations 8. Create reports for shareholders 9. Assist in capital expenditures reporting & planning 10.Partner with other functional departments on assigned projects, e.g., Accounting, Business Development, Supply Chain Solutions, Legal, Engineering, IT, and HR 11. Contribute to the teams charter of being the preferred source for business insight by being committed, detail-oriented, highly analytical, positive, and fun 12. Other special projects and duties as requested
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in business, accounting, or finance; MBA preferred At least 3 years experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis; Fortune 500 finance or finance experience with international operations is desirable Demonstrated academic and/or professional achievement High level of commitment and detail orientation; comfort with expectations for ramping up quickly and working extra hours to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality Exposure to Operations, Transportation, or Warehousing industries is preferred Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency with BPC is desirable Experience with financial and business intelligence systems; SAP, Great Plains, and BPC is highly desirable
