 Description Senior Fiberoptic Systems Engineer
Lead the development of optical cable access transmitters, passives, links, and systems. Drive both internal and external product development efforts by designing, simulating, and verifying link performance. Create engineering specifications and test plan requirements for fiber transmitters, optical passive components, links, and systems. This Senior engineering position requires interaction with various functional groups both internally and externally. 
 Requirements Routine Tasks include:
• Develop optical fiber transmitters for CATV access network applications.
• Develop and execute Design Verification and System Verification Test plans.
• Conduct EO and RF characterization on fiberoptic transmitters.
• Perform detailed optical characterization on both active and passive optical components.
• Design multi-wave forward path cable access links, including detailed linear and non-linear fiber impairment analysis.
• Develop test lab setup and basic automatic test code. 
• Support customer qualification activities 
• Support sales and application engineering inquiries
