(Automotive) District Sales Manager - San Jose, CA
Job Description
Raytheon Professional Services (RPS), is looking for a District Sales Manager to support the San Jose, CA area aftermarket parts sales and training initiatives. The sales duties of this position entail profitable growth of the various business tiers within the aftermarket parts business, attainment of regional sales goals, and, prospecting and enlisting new accounts. The candidate for this position must have a technical aptitude and effective presentation skills in order to successfully conduct product and technical seminars. This individual must be highly motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal direction. The ideal candidate will have Dealership or Independent Service Center Technician, Service Consultant, and/or Service Management experience. Driving a vehicle on a daily basis is an essential function of this job.
Specific roles and responsibilities include:
- Call on independent service centers to promote product sales
- Prospecting for new accounts
- Delivering technical and product seminars to small groups ranging in size from 10 - 80 technicians
- Plan, organize, and conduct customer meetings
- Perform a variety of administrative functions related to role, such as maintaining account databases
- Support eCommerece initiatives
- Some overnight travel required
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years related automotive industry experience
- ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8)
- Demonstrated knowledge of intricate automotive systems and repair procedures
- Demonstrated professional presentation skills
- Ability to work well with both internal and external customers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35lbs
- Driving a vehicle on a daily basis is an essential function of this job
Desired Skills:
- ASE Master Certification
- Automotive aftermarket sales and/or service experience
- Demonstrated professional selling skills
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience with General Motors vehicles is preferred.
Required Education:
- Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or a related field or equivalent experience
