THE OPPORTUNITY The Manager Consultant, Revenue Cycle will participate in revenue cycle engagements for QHR hospital clients. This position is responsible for executing portions of the client project plan, meeting assigned deadlines, and identifying client opportunities. The Manager Consultant will work with the assigned Manager and/or Senior Manager/Director to prepare client recommendations. Candidate must have exellent knowledge of hospital revenue cycle, project management and ICD 10 knowledge in a hospital setting, have at least four years consulting experience and proven project management skills.Travel 80% required. Qualified and interested candidates may contact Bonnie Young at: 615-371-4810 or email: [Click Here to Email Your Resume] DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Executes client project plans related to the assessment of the revenue cycle functions including but not limited to: pre-registration, insurance verification, point-of-service cash collections, financial counseling, registration, coding, medical records, billing, account follow-up and collections, customer service and cash posting. Implements technology and business process improvements within these functions.
- Works directly with clients to improve business performance and create a competitive advantage. Assists QHR clients in solving today's complex business challenges.
- Assist in client interviews and analyzes client data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Creates client deliverables with Manager and/or Senior Manager/Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Abilities may be accessed through written, verbal, and other evaluation methods.
- Knowledge in one or two areas in the Revenue Cycle; patient access, case management, health information management, reimbursement/chargemaster, business office functions, helpful.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to summarize, analyze and convert data into useful, presentable formats.
- Experience using Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Knowledge of Access, helpful.
- Familiar with core financial systems such as STAR, Siemens. Knowledge of hospital information systems helpful.
- Project Management.
- ICD 10 knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, needing limited supervision.
WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS . - Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare related field required. MBA or MHA preferred.
- 3 years of progressive experience in a consultant role.
