PRIMARY PURPOSE:



•Define and develop world-class Quality Systems that meet or exceed all customer, industry, and internal requirements and expectations and maintain all appropriate certifications



•Support the Business Groups in the deployment and execution of all Power Solutions Quality Systems



•Define and develop standard tools, techniques, processes and training materials for a standardized approach to problem solving across all levels of the organization



•Actively participate in the development of a PS Quality strategy and responsible to support all Priority Project deployment and execution while closely coordinating activities with the PS Business Group Quality Leaders



•Responsible for identifying, promoting, and deploying Quality best practices throughout the organization



•Direct the PS Quality Systems function including management of resources to support a shared services role to assist the business groups in deploying the PS Quality Strategy



•Provide a visible leadership role with PS Executive Leadership to foster excellent relations and to assure that all their requirements are met or exceeded to support the organization with world-class Quality Systems
PRIMARY DUTIES:



•Responsibility to assure that all quality systems standards and requirements meet internal, customer, and industry requirements and to subsequently cascade through the value stream



•Develop and institutionalize the use of standardized problem solving tools and processes within the Power Solutions business



•Develop standardized tools, methodologies and processes to manage the analysis and reporting of Warranty data to support performance improvement in line with the expectation of customers



•Drive greater execution of Advanced Quality Planning within all groups and assure full compliance to internal requirements of PLUS as well as TS/ISO requirements



•Provide and demonstrate leadership in the Quality discipline, including strict enforcement of all customer, industry, and internal specifications and TS/ISO requirements



•Provide support to the Groups to assure that all internal/external audits are in full compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements for certification



•Provides direct leadership in the development of policies and BOS procedures to ensure the quality of work in all disciplines and to ensure robust quality processes and act as the lead contact for PS Quality to the activities of developing PS BOS and the Global Business System Standardization



•Partner with the PS Supplier Quality function to improve and ensure high supplier quality standards that are consistent with requirements for JCI facility needs



•Provides leadership to the organization and liaison with IT to identify, deploy and manage information system applications and tools to support the execution of the PS Quality Strategy



•Champions the establishment, consolidation and regular reporting of key performance and deployment metrics to assure continued performance and effectiveness of the PS Quality Function



•Exceptional collaboration and leadership within a matrixed environment



•Collaborate with group Quality Leads in the definition of the quality objectives during strategic planning (Quality Objectives)



•Promote contacts with the peer functional positions (Marketing, Sales, Product and Process Engineering, Purchasing, Administration) across all PS Groups, contributing to customer satisfaction (Relationship Management)



•Support peers with quality positions in all plants to promote the goal achievement of the Quality function, as well as customer satisfaction (Plant Support)



•Plan, supervise and support the certification of Quality Systems, initiated by JCI or the customer (Certification)



•Support activities for new quotations and programs in quality related items (Sales Support)



•Provide professional employee guidance and promotion within the subordinate structure to guarantee employee motivation and self-reliance as well as the achievement of the quality goals (Leadership)


Maintain and build up internal & external customer relationship (Customer liaison)

 Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



• Bachelor degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, etc) required. Related Masters degree preferred.



•7-10 years of senior (quality) management experience in an industrial environment (automotive preferred), and 5 years in a management/leader level role.



•TS 16949, Continuous improvement TQM, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, DOE, SPC



•Certifications preferred include: TS 16949 Lead Assessor, Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt, American Society for Quality (ASQ) – CQE, CQA or CQM



•Knowledge of AIAG TS 16949 Reference Manuals



•Total Quality Management in theory and practice



•Demonstrated ability to lead an organization through process changes in a matrix environment
